Mary J. Blige Brings 'Phenomenal Woman' Taraji P. Henson To Tears As She's Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame!

From Baby Boy to Hustle & Flow to "Empire" to Hidden Figures to What Men Want and everything in between, Taraji P. Henson is now being honored for all of the hard work she has put in since she and son arrived in Hollywood with just $700 in her pocket.

Taraji had a goal of becoming an esteemed actress and nothing was going to stop her from reaching her goal. And look at her now! She's an Oscar nominated, EMMY nominated, and Golden Globe winning actress, writer, and producer, trailblazing through the industry as a powerful black woman, serving roles and telling OUR stories that need to be told.

Yesterday, the 48-year-old mom-of-one was honored with the 2,655th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for a spot in the of Motion Pictures category. Taraji's good friend/ I Can Do Bad All by Myself co-star Mary J. Blige and Baby Boy director John Singleton helped unveil her star and Taraji was FULL of joy and appreciation.

Styled by Jason Bolden, the "Empire" star kept it red hot in an Akris ensemble from the 2019 spring collection, which debuted on the catwalk at the Swiss fashion house’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week last fall, topped with a red mesh net coat. She finished her look with a pair of black satin sandals that featured a caged heel.

Of course, her soon-to-be-husband/former NFL star Kelvin Hayden was right by her side to celebrate her big feat.

Taraji's friend/co-star Mary J. Blige gave a touching speech about how the YBF actress has helped her by bringing sunshine during her most darkest times, dubbing her the definition of a phenomenal woman

Beaming with joy, the actress/author snapped it up with John Singleton - who's she's working with on a film about Emmett Till, her son Marcell Johnson, her mother Bernice Gordan and grandmother Patsie Ballard.
