Forest Whitaker is ending 2018 with a divorce, unfortunately.
The Black Panther star has reportedly called it quits with his wife Keisha Nash Whitaker after 22 years of marriage. The Hollywood actor filed divorce papers in Los Angeles today (December 27th), citing irreconcilable difference in the petition. Dang, two days after Christmas.
On Christmas Day, Forest tweeted about strong family bonds and spreading joy:

Since their children are grown, there won't be any custody issues to work out. The 57-year-old and 46-year-old - who tied the knot in 1996 - have two daughters together, 22-year-old Sonnet Noel and 20-year-old True. They both also have older children (Forest's 28-year-old son Ocean and Keisha's 27-year-old daughter Autumn) from previous relationships.
The former lovebirds met on the set on their 1993 film Blown Away where she played his on-screen girlfriend. Just a few years later, they were trekking down the aisle to say "I Do" in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
2019 will be a fresh start for them both.
