Wow! The SAG nominations didn't include any black women, despite veterans like Regina King and Viola Davis killing it on the big screen. However, the Golden Globes recognized...a little. More inside...

Award season has officially kicked off, and the "powers that be" are pissing us off already.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards announced its 2019 nominees and they totally shut out ALL women of color. Like, really?

So they overlooked Regina King's supporting role in If Beale Street Could Talk? Did they not see Viola Davis kill it in Widows? Tuh.

The fact that YBF ladies were snubbed in all categories has folks in confusion:

Cray.

Out of 25 female nominations, only two women of color were nominated. Sandra Oh and Penelope Cruz received nominations in television categories. Hmph. You can view the full list of SAG nominees - including John David Washington, Mahershala Ali, Sterling K. Brown, and the casts of "Atlanta" and Black Panther - here.

In other nomination news...

If she wins, it'll be her first Golden Globe victory.

Regina and Thandie Newton (up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for "Westworld) were the only black women nominated for Golden Globe Awards.

You can check out the full list of Golden Globe nominess - which include Donald Glover, Stephan James, director Barry Jenkins, Mahershala Ali, John David Washington, the cast of Black Panther,BlacKKKlansman, and more here.

Everyone who excels in their art deserves to be properly recognized by their peers and the Academies.  On multiple award show platforms.  The Oscars BETTER get it right!
