Matt Barnes just had one hell of a weekend. Gloria Govan? Not so much. Get the latest inside...

Matt Barnes' prayers have been answered.

A judge sided with the former NBA baller on his request to have his $20,000/month child support payment lowered. And it was drastically reduced.

According to court documents, obtained by The Blast, Barnes' child support payments were cut from $20K/month to $7,500/month for his twin boys with Gloria Govan. That's $3,750 each kid and that's the exact amount Matt petitioned for. He told the judge the original child support payment was too rich for his pockets being that he's no longer in the NBA. Not only that, he now has more custody with their sons after that crazy school incident that landed her jail for child endangerment.

As of now, Gloria gets the boys every other weekend and also every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the week. Luckily, she no longer has to have monitored visitation. The custody order is still temporary and it's reported Gloria will be going back to court to try and get 50/50 custody permanently.

After landing that victory, he also copped another blessing:

Big congrats are in order for Matt and his girlfriend Anansa Sims - who is the daughter of legendary supermodel Beverly Johnson - as they welcomed their first child together over the weekend.

Just in time for the holidays, the couple became the parents of Ashton Joseph Barnes, aka "AJ," who weighed in at 8lbs 13oz and was 22.5 inches long.

Looks like that support reduction was right on time.  Hmph.

Congrats!
