Pink and pantsuits took over the red carpet at the 2018 American Music Awards. Go inside for red carpet drips from Tracee Ellis Ross, Ella Mai, Amara La Negra, Ciara, her son Future and more...
It's Breast Cancer Awareness month and several celebrities hit the red carpet at the 2018 American Music Awards to show support. Women rocking pantsuits were also a trend we noticed for this year's award show that was held inside the Microsoft Theater in LA.
Tracee Ellis Ross came ready to represent Breast Cancer Awareness month and power suits to host for her 2nd consecutive year, tying with her mother Diana Ross, who hosted the show in both 1986 and 1987.
The "black-ish" actress said ALL of her looks were "for the culture" as she was rocking all designs created by black designers. Shoutout to inclusiveness. For her red carpet look, she wore a pink and black Pyer Moss suit before opening the show with a 3 in a half minute choreographed dance routine.
Ella Mai also served up oversized pantsuit realness in a look custom designed by Sergio Hudson. We're underwhelmed. A pop of bold color and a better tailor would have made this look bomb.
The British songbird was nominated for two AMAs, including Favorite Female Artist – Soul/R&B and Favorite Song – Soul/R&B. Does her look have you all in your feelings or nah?
"Love & Hip Hop: Miami" star/artist Amara La Negra def served up a bold look when she pulled up on the red carpet. The "What A Bam Bam" singer posed it up in an iridescent Valentino Omar pantsuit. No bueno, but she's still a bad chick nonetheless.
Four-time nominee Khalid, who copped the Favorite Soul/R&B Make Artist award, kept it stylish, yet comfortable, in a pink suit and dad sneakers.
Actress/singer/dancer Jennifer Lopez, who was tapped to perform, showed off her Breast Cancer Awareness support as she twirled in a hot pink Georges Chakra gown paired with a black clutch and black peep-toe shoes by Jimmy Choo.
Werk.
JLo performed “Limitless," song from her upcoming film Second Act, which is scheduled to hit theaters December 14th. Her man Alex Rodriguez was front row in the audience too.
It looks like Tyra Banks transformed into a Life Size doll in a Gucci fringe skirt that she paired with a dramatic white Caroline Constas top and St. Germaine top hat. On the carpet, she confirmed Life Size 2 will be released in December.
After recently wrapping up the "On The Run II" Tour with Beyonce & Jay Z, singers/sisters Chloe x Halle made their way on the carpet in Valentino gowns.
Slay, Marsai Martin! The "black-ish" cutie oozed magic and everything nice in a tulle Pamella Roland dress.
The Hate U Give actress/presenter Amandla Stenberg kept it casual and cute in a Ralph Lauren blazer and Levi jeans.
The flick (it's SO good!) hits theaters October 19th.
Migos rapper Quavo, who accepted the Favorite Duo/Group award with Offset, came through dripping. Drip. Drip.
Singer Sevyn Streeter rolled up in the place with style and grace in a Zhivago dress and Versace shoes.
Musical icon Gladys Knight made her way on the carpet in a black caped dress before she hit the stage to honor the legendaryAretha Franklin.
Looking good, Auntie!
Singer Ledisi put together a look from designers OTT, Dubai, Vicky Tiel via NyLaurent, LAMARQUE and Casadei before she joined Gladys and others to honor Aretha Franklin.
E! News correspondent Zuri Hall rocked a flirty frock from Giambattista Valli's FW15 collection.
Couples hitting the carpet...
New reality stars/presenters Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson Ross were all loved on the carpet.
While chatting on the carpet, Ashlee revealed she struggled with finding the perfect outfit to meet Evan's mom, Diana Ross. Can't blame her.
Performer Ty Dolla Sign and his girlfriend/Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jaureguicoordinated their looks for the evening. On the carpet, he said he matched his shoes to her dress.
