In unfortunate news, Kanye West's dad Ray West has been diagnosed with cancer and 'Ye is tweeting about his suicidal thoughts. More inside...

Ten years after Kanye West's mother Donda West died following a cosmetic procedure, the rapper is now dealing with news that his father, Ray West, is suffering from a disease that could possibly take his life.

Ray's wife, Cheryl Carmichael West, revealed to RadarOnline that Kanye's dad has stomach cancer.

“His dad is sick with stomach cancer,” Ye's step-mother confirmed, adding Ray was diagnosed last spring. “He’s getting treatment and from what I understand the treatments are working.”

He was diagnosed last year around the time of the 10th anniversary of Donda's death. Prayers up for Mr. West!

We hope the diagnosis doesn't trigger Ye into his old habits. As you know, the PABLO rapper revealed he was onceaddicted to opioids after having liposuction and we all watched as his life seemingly spin out of control in front of our eyes. We watched the onstage rantsin shock and then eventually Ye was hospitalized for over a week to get treatment.

Right before news about his dad surfaced, Kanye hopped on Twitter and revealed that he had suicidal thoughts in the past. He said after watching a documentary about the life of late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide in 2010, he felt connected with the designer's journey.

But...

Sigh.

Last week, it was reported the "Ultralight Beam" rapper was hospitalized with the flu. His wife Kim was spotted taking him to the ER and he has been released and is currently recovering.

Prayers up for the West Family.
