New dad Offset was just arrested in Georgia, and allegedly a gun is involved. The news comes right after he and wife Cardi B. were hit with a lawsuit for that scuffle that went down after the MET Ball. Deets inside...
While wife Cari B is at home loving new mommyhood, rapper Offset was apparently out in these streets riding dirty. The Migos rapper was just arrested in Georgia, where he, Cardi and baby Kulture currently live, after getting pulled over. Now, he's facing four charges (sheesh!), including possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana (one ounce or less), possession of a weapon during a crime and an improper lane change.
Cops allege at least one weapon was found in the car, which is problematic for a convicted felon. TMZ reports:
Sources tell us the Migos rapper was traveling just outside Atlanta Friday when the vehicle he was in was pulled over for tinted windows. A witness tells us officers then discovered at least one gun in the SUV ... a big no-no for Offset, who is a convicted felon currently on probation.
Neither Cardi nor Kulture were in the car.
It's definitely not his day either, because he and Cardi were also just hit with a lawsuit by the same Manhattan hotel where a guy got into a scuffle with their security. Back in May, after the MET Ball, autograph hound Giovanni Arnold allegedly ended up injured after being held back by the couple's security, and now he wants damages.
According to court documents, The Mark Hotel filed a counter-suit against Cardi B and Offset after all three were sued by Giovanni. According to The Blast:
Arnold claimed that on May 5, following the Met Gala in New York, he was attacked by three of the couple’s bodyguards. He claims he ended up having to go to the hospital for his alleged face, neck, back and body injuries and sued seeking unspecified damages.
Now, the hotel wants to cover their asses because they say Cardi & Offset are who is responsible for the shenanigans:
In their response, the hotel is denying that they are responsible at all for what happened, saying any judgment Arnold may win should be paid by Cardi B and Offset, not them.
They claim, “Any liability will be have been brought about and caused solely as a result of the fault, negligence, acts or omissions, want of care and/or breach of contract on the part of Belcalis Almanzar p/k/a Cardi B, Kiari Kendrell Cephus p/k/a Offset.”
The Mark wants all claims against them thrown out.
