Live Alkaline Water, a black owned akaline water company, is making history at Walmart. It's the first black owned bottled water brand to hit the grocery giant's shelves! Woot!
Dr. Shayla Creer and Robert McCray joined forces to bring the 100% natural akaline water to Walmart. Robert's family has owned a spring in North Carolina for more than 100 years that produces the water. He and Dr. Creer linked up and they decided they would share their water with the world.
It wasn't easy though. They were turned down multiple times by Walmart before one regional store decided to give them a shot.
"I called ... many Walmarts, and finally we got a hold of one who allowed us to do a presentation,” Dr. Creer told First Coast News.
There just so happened to be a regional manager in attendance and the rest is history. Once the water hit the Walmart shelves, it sold out within a month and business is continuing to pick up.
Now, the bottled water company is in three Walmart locations and several privately-owned businesses in North Florida. Live Akaline Water can also be purchased from their website here.

Big Boy is going from the radio waves to your television screens! The longtime radio living legend is keeping his radio job, but he's about to hit the tv too.
iHeartMedia and Fuse Media are joining forces to bring the nationally syndicated hit radio show “Big Boy’s Neighborhood" to cable!
The TV series will air weekdays on FM (Fuse Music) starting July 30th. New episodes of the iHeartRadio radio show (on Real 92.3) will air on the same day as the radio broadcast.
“I can’t believe it’s been three years since I embarked on this incredible journey with iHeartMedia to bring ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood’ to my listeners on Real 92.3 and now across broadcast radio stations nationwide,” Big Boy told Billboard. “Words can’t express how excited I am to bring the ‘Neighborhood’ to millions of viewers through this television partnership with Fuse.”
“Big Boy’s Neighborhood” joined Real 92.3 in March 2015 before becoming part of Premiere Networks’ nationally syndicated lineup in 2016. He's been killing it in the west coast morning radio game for two decades.
Looks like Power 105's "The Breakfast Club" will have a little TV competition since their radio show airs on REVOLT.
