Ayeeeee! SZA just copped her first BET Award and she had a message for the generation looking up to her. More inside...
Congrats are in order for one of our faves, SZA! The ethereal & soulful songstress just copped her first BET Award. She won Best New Artist and it was one win out of four nominations, which included Album of the Year, Best Female R&B Pop Artist and the Coca-Cola Viewer's Choice.

After T.I. and Yvonne Orji presented TDE's first lady her award, the "Love Galore" singer was on her nervous ish as she took center stage, but she had a message for those who look up to her.
"I just wanted to say to anybody that's watching, that's in school, or just in the world lost, or they feel like they dont know what their purpose is, just follow your passion, ignore everyone, try to stay in gratitude it'll make the wack stuff feel better. Just believe in yourself. I didn't even believe in myself and things like this are happening to me, so, it can happen to anybody. God bless everyone, she said.

Fingers crossed that her vocal chords are completely healed so she can finish her summer gigs effortlessly. She did just slay at the Firefly Festival last week.
