We've got some Beyonce and Jay Z updates for you. Details about the "ApeSh*t" track, more of Bey's "ApeSh*t" fashions and flicks of her and Hov dining in London inside...
Guess what?
Beyonce and Jay Z's "ApeSh*t" track (that literally had us all going bananas when the track and visuals dropped) had other famous rappers rocking the track before it became the 1st single off of the Carters' surprise Everything Is Love album.
Apparently, Migos recorded the demo before it made it's way to the Carter collection and filled the halls of the Louvre in Paris.
The group's version of the track popped up online which gives us a listen to how the track was originally made. Up and coming rappers, writers or even famous folks often record demos to show an example of how the finished track will sound. Then it's shopped to others or kept for themselves.
The beat seems to be the same and so do the rap flows. The hook and pre-hook are almost the same. Bey changed up "this is what we made for" to "I can't believe we made it."
However, the Carters added their own bars in between and Pharrell Williams added in his producing touch. Migos rappers Quavo and Offset received co-writing credits (not sure why Takeoff was left off).
Take a listen here.
Speaking of "ApeSh*t"....
We've got new designer details about Bey's epic costumes in the "ApeSh*t" video. In one scene, Bey is standing next her husband in front of the Great Sphinx of Tanis rocking some pretty cool threads. She wore a custom MCM monogram bodysuit, jacket and cap designed by celebrity stylist/Diddy's ex-Misa Hylton. Whet?! That's BIG. Come thru black designers!
Queen Bey paired the look with a pair of Y / PROJECT Black Spiral 110 Patent Leather. FIRE!
One fan broke down how Bey and Jay's new video is basically her whole art degree:
Y’all this #Apeshit video has me losing my shit. This moment right here is the fulfillment of my art history degree. Beyoncé’s vision and talent is unmatched. Stay tuned for some thoughts. #Beyoncé#EverythingIsLovepic.twitter.com/IMrVlyl6wf

1) The visual and lyrical message of #Apeshit is that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have MADE IT. They own the motherfucking Louvre which has been and still is a white-centric space with a history deeply rooted in colonialism. Thus, centering black bodies in this space is radical. pic.twitter.com/lLafST2Urd

2) The first shot of the duo is in front of the Mona Lisa, the most recognizable portrait in the museum. People from around then world flock to the Mona Lisa to take their picture with her (i.e. next image). Beyoncé (and Jay-Z I guess) is visually asserting herself as Mona Lisa. pic.twitter.com/smpysAEDyy

3) This is the easy bit. The full complexity of Beyoncé’s vision in addition to her obvious familiarity with the history of art and her place within it becomes clear as the video progresses. pic.twitter.com/Ve13rAy5xC

4) Winged Victory (Nike) of Samothrace, an Ancient Greek statue of the goddess of Victory. Beyoncé’s costuming mimics the folds of the statues drapery and positions her as Victory. She is clothed in white, imitating the statue’s current bleached state. pic.twitter.com/7tvexxCBbf

And that's just SOME of it. Read her full rundown here.
After shutting down the stage on their On The Run II Tour stop in London on Saturday:
Bey and Jay were seen leaving Harry's Bar - a luxurious private members' club for the rich & famous that serves North Italian cuisine - around 4AM. They tried to leave out the back door and hide behind security guards to keep from being photographed as they made their way to their waiting vehicle, but we know how that goes. Photogs report Jaden Smith was also seen leaving Harry's Bar shortly after the Carters. The Smiths were across the pond celebrating Fathers Day with Will.
