Alice Marie Johnson, 63, was just freed from prison after Trump signed a pardon for her release following a meeting with Kim Kardashian West. See her emotional reunion with her family, plus what everyone is saying about it all inside...

Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother, is now free from prison after Donald Trump granted her clemency yesterday (June 6th) following a meeting with Kim Kardashian West.

Alice was a first-time non-violent drug offender who was given a life sentence without parole. She was released from federal prison in Aliceville, Alabama where she had been serving her sentence since 1996, serving over 21 years in prison. Her release comes a week after Kim trekked it to the White House to speak with Trump in the Oval House about her case and days after her 63rd birthday.

Cameras were rolling when Alice greeted her family waiting outside of the prison for her arrival. Grab your tissues!

"I feel like my life is starting over again," Alice said to reporters outside of the prison.

Aww! So touching.

She thanked Kim and promised Trump she would make him proud.

"I want to tell Kim, my angel, that you never gave up on me. You never gave up your fight. You were relentless and it has paid off beautifully for me and my family on this day," Alice told CNN. "I am going to make you proud that you gave me this second chance in life. And I will not disappoint the American public or the world that has so much faith in me."

After being released, Alice spoke to "Good Morning America" to explain how she felt when she first saw her family waiting for her outside:

So happy for her!

Kim tweeted about Alice's release, expressing how happy she is and that she plans to keep fighting for prison reform:

We appreciate the fact she recognizes others have been doing this for a while, but didn’t always have privileged voices to be heard as loudly. So, we’re glad she used her privilege for good. Not everybody thinks it was purely for good though.

Folks are sharing their opinions about the release and it seems that most people aren't mad at the fact that Kim K was able to get this black women released from prison who was serving a ridiculous sentence. However, some people caution how dangerous it could be that a reality star can come in the White House, butter up Trump, and get what they want. And they feel like she has ulterior motives.

One person even tried to compare what Kim K did to The Carters, but "The Real" co-host Loni Love shut that down. Peep the tweets below:

We'd like to note, President Barack Obama granted clemency to 231 people in December 2016, which was the largest act of clemency by any U.S. president. Just thought we'd throw that out there.

After reading the tweets, what are your thoughts on Trump releasing this woman from prison because of Kim K? Sound off in the comments!
