Model Adwoa Aboah had to call out fellow model Winnie Harlow after she posted up a caption praising Kim Kardashian West for inspiring and empowering women. Check it inside...
Sometimes you have to give it to your friends/associates straight talk, no chaser.
That's what supermodel Adwoa Aboah just did. The Nigerian beauty, who recently covered VOGUE magazine, was scrolling down her timeline and came across this pic of Winnie Harlow hanging out with Kim Kardashian at the 2018 CFDA Awards where Kim was awarded the Influencer Award.
Winnie posted up a caption on Instagram praising Kim for "inspiring women" to "be themselves."
"One of the realist and most down to earth people in any industry I’ve ever been around, I always Love being around you," Winnie captioned. "Thank you for being you. If anyone understands not initially being accepted in an industry you adore like I do, it’s you! And now the Influencer Award at the @cfda ‘s?!? No one can ever take that away from you! Keep inspiring woman around the world to be themselves Unapologetically. Against every naysayer you’re you and i adore your strength love you @kimkardashian Congratulations!"
Adwoa, who models for Rihanna's Fenty Beauty, hopped in Winnie's comments. She asked,
"Is this a joke babe...In what world has she inspired women to be themselves? She is no icon nor an influencer and I find it completely crazy that anyone would think she was @winnieharlow."
Sounds like she's not drinking the Kim K. kool-aid. And she clearly doesn't care about those caping for Kim coming for her.
As for whether Winnie has hung out with Kim outside of industry events, or if they've had meaningful conversations and made memories together? We don't know.
But, Winnie is riding hard for the KKW Beauty creator. She hopped on the opportunity to defend her girl:
Kim also hopped in the comments section, likely since Adwoa was busy asking questions we want answers to. Here's what she said:
During Kim's acceptance speech, she revealed she was shocked she won the award because she's always naked.
“I am kind of shocked that I am winning a fashion award when I am naked most of the time," she said to the audience. But this is seriously such an honor, so thank you to the CFDA for this award.”
