Montel Williams Is 'Doing Great' After Being Hospitalized For Going To Hard In The Gym + Serena Williams Is Taking Names & Serving Up Wins At French Open

Montel Williams is said to be "doing great" after he was rushed to the hospital. Get the deets on his condition, plus celebrate with Serena Williams for winning her latest round in the French Open inside...

Montel Williams was rushed to the hospital via ambulance in NYC after he "overdid it" in the gym, according to his rep.

At the time of his hospitalization, his rep issued a statement regarding his hospitalization, saying “Anyone who knows Montel knows that he is an exercise enthusiast,” his rep said in a statement on Thursday (May 31st).“Yesterday, he overdid it, and has been admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. He is doing well and anticipates being discharged soon.”

“In the coming days, as he always has, Montel will tell his story himself. Until then, we respectfully ask that his family’s privacy be respected,” the statement continued. “The Williams family will be forever grateful for the quick response from [New York City Fire Department] and the excellent care he has received.”

Thankfully, the 61-year-old former talk show host, who is a fitness fanatic, is doing much better since being admitted into the hosptial. In an Instagram post, he thanked everyone (via his rep) for all the well wishes and prayers:

For her last tennis match at the French Open, the new mom/23 Grand Slam winner was up against Australia's Ashleigh Barty in Paris. And she brought the heat.

She's back and better than ever for the French Open. The 36-year-old unseeded tennis star beat No. 17 seed Ashleigh Barty in the second round of the French Open on Thursday. Serena won 3–6, 6–3, 6–4 to advance to the third round, which could possibly set her up for a match up against Maria Sharapova in the French Open last 16.
