Looks like Donald Glover is preparing for the upcoming Holiday weekend, which is also his big Solo: A Star Wars Story opening weekend. Pics of him grabbing goceries with his girlfriend and their new baby boy inside...
Donald Glover is on chill mode as his Star Wars opening weekend racks up the big dollars. Very early estimates say the movie made about $13M-$15M Thursday night, which is on par with Thor & Iron Man 3's opening nights.
Donald plays Lando Carlrissian, which was originally played by Billy Dee Williams in the franchise in the early 80's, and he told "GMA" recently he made the role pan-sexual - someone who is attracted to everyone.
The actor/rapper is attracted to these dollars that keep rolling in too. He's fresh off his his huge "This Is America" viral video, a Twitter storm of controversy due to alleged disparaging comments about black women in the past, and a big "SNL" hosting/musical guest gig. His show "Atlanta" is also in its second season on FX. So it's no surprise he needs a break with his fam:
He and his blonde girlfriend Michelle welcomed their second son recently, so they hit the streets of downtown Manhattan this week with the tiny bundle.
We're not exactly Star Wars fans around these parts, but what we can say is that A Solo Story is the only installment we've been able to sit through, happily. It's a great summer flick and quite good.
EXTRAS:
1. Harvey Weinstein turned himself in and was officially arrested this morning in lower Manhattan. He's being charged with rape and other charges. STORY
