John Legend hit the red carpet at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards gushing about the meaning behind his baby boy's name. Meanwhile, his wife Chrissy Teigen was at home hilariously shading him from the couch. Deets inside...
John Legend just became a dad again after he and his wife Chrissy Teigen welcomed baby boy Miles Theodore Stephens three days ago.
Here's the first look at their new bundle of joy:
Chrissy happily captioned, "Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens – We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles,” wrote the proud mom. “Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”"
Adorbs!
Unfortunately for John, work called and he had to leave. He was tapped to perform "A Good Night" during the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, so he had to leave mom and baby behind.
Decked out in Gucci, the Grammy Award winner revealed the inspiration behind his son's name. He said they like to give their children names with meaning and history tied to it.
“We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens (for Nina Simone); every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles is, of course, is the same name as the great Miles Davis,” the award winning singer said on the red carpet.
Chrissy took a liking to Miles' middle name and that's how they came up with it:
“Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together as Miles Theodore Stephens. When he came out and we hung out with him for a little while we were like, ‘Yeah, he looks like a Miles,’ ” John shared.
Meanwhile, his wife is up to her usual Twitter antics. She hilariously shaded her hubby while watching the BBMAs from the couch at home:
wow didn’t u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting pic.twitter.com/l20XJGQ2Fu

Ha! Let 'em know Chrissy! The "didn't you just have a baby" shade works both ways.
John responded:
True, true. https://t.co/b3XogUkW6l

He better take his butt home to L.A. after the show. No afterparties.
