The 2018 BET Awards nominations were just announced.  And it's going to be a BATTLE.  Who ya got?!  Deets inside...

This may be a first, but DJ Khaled is leading the pack with nominations. It's not everyday a music producer scoops up more awards than the actual artists, but here we are.

The superproducer raked in a total 6 nominations, including ‘Video of the Year,’ two for ‘Best Collaboration,’ with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller for ‘Wild Thoughts,’ and with Jay-Z, Future and Beyoncé for ‘Top Off,’ ‘Album of the Year,’ and ‘Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice.’ Coming in 2nd place, Kendrick Lamar follows with five nods including ‘Best Collaboration,’ with Rihanna for ‘Loyalty.,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ ‘Album of the Year,’ and ‘Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice.’

Other leading nominees include Migos, nominated for four awards including ‘Best Group,’ and ‘Album of the Year,” and SZA, also nominated for four awards, including ‘Best Female R&B/Pop Artist’ and ‘Best New Artist.’

Speaking of that Album of The Year category, which is arguably the biggest of the night:

Kendrick, SZA, Jay-Z, Migos, Khaled & The Black Panther Soundtrack are going into an epic Wakanda style battle.  That's gonna be a tough one.

Cardi B is also in the running for several awards, including 'Best Female Hip Hop Artist.'

The 2018 BET Awards airs live from the Microsoft Theater in L.A. on Sunday, June 24th at 8pm EST. Keep it locked to TheYBF.com for full coverage. And check out our Instagram Stories to see what went own at last night's announcement party!
