Yeah, you can call it comeback because Serena Williams is killing it on and off the tennis court. Get the deets on her new Aneres cosmetics line, plus her wins on the court inside…
What can’t Serena Williams do?
She’s like perfect at everything even when she doubts herself.
Now, the first time mom is ready to make some more moves outside of the tennis court and launch yet another project.
According to TMZ, Rena just filed legal documents to trademark “Aneres,” which is her name spelled backwards. Apparently, she had trademarked the name previously for a clothing line, but now she’s looking to get into cosmetics/beauty. Hey, it’s a billion dollar industry, why not?!
It’s reported the tennis superstar’s cosmetic line will include skin care prep, makeup removing products, makeup kits, bath soaps, lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, colognes and perfumes.
This is going to be a good endeavor for Rena, especially since she has that HSN connect already. Get those coins Rena!
As for her life on the court…
2017 was a HUGE year for Serena off the court, but not so much on the court. Well, she missed most of the year since she was pregnant with her daugher, Alexis Olympia. But, let’s not forget chick won the Australian Open in January 2017 while she was 8 weeks pregnant before she took her hiatus.
You may recall, the new wife made her first appearance back on the court in December 2017, four months after giving birth, to play at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, she took an “L,” so she decided to train some more and now she’s back again.
Serena, who has won the second-most singles titles (23 in total) in women's Grand Slam tournaments of all time, returned to the tennis court to play in the Indian Wells tournament on March 8 where she defeated Kazakh tennis player Zarina Diyas. Then, she returned on March 10th and beat Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands.
Tonight, she’ll face off against her big sister Venus Williams for the 29th time in their careers.
"I would prefer to play someone else, anybody else, literally anybody else, but it has to happen now. So it is what it is," Serena told reporters.
The last time the Williams Sisters played one another was during the 2017 Australian Open final, when Serena won her 23rd Grand Slam singles title (while pregnant).
Throughout their professional rivalry, Serena has won 17 times, while Venus beat her 11 times. The last time Venus beat her little sister was in 2014.
The tennis queens are set to hit the court tonight at 10pm EST.
Who do you think will win this one?!
