Kerry Washington loves taking a fashion risk, but did she manage to pull THIS one off?  Decide if we love her braided ambition and interesting ensemble inside...

Just days after her epic "How To Get Away With Scandal" crossover TGIT night went down, Kerry Washington floated into the 33rd annual Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica rocking this look:

The actress/producer spent her Saturday afternoon in a custom Missoni multicolor fringe dress with a patchwork bodice.  She paired it with Pedro Garcia pink satin booties, a pink satin bag by Edie Parker and this braided concoction from her long time hairtylist Takisha that's got everyone talking.

She explained how she got the look, if you're brave enough to recreate it:

"I added some @neutrogena to her natural curly hair & parted her hair in three sections. Then braided the left & right side clean and neat. I added more hair to the center for volume & added some highlights to it for a pop of color. I finished it off by securing the center in a ponytail."

Well, we're sure Kerry's hubby Nnamdi likes it.  But...
