Well, we can't say we saw this one coming. But when we think about it, the twosome haven't been spotted together in years. 49-year-old actress Tisha Campbell-Martin has filed for divorce from her 52-year-old "The New Edition Story" husband Duane Martin, with no details as to why. She does, though, say it was a painful decision.
In a statement to media, Tisha reveals:
“After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce. It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family.”
The couple shares two sons - Ezekiel, 8, and Xen, 16. - and also own XEN Lounge in Los Angeles.
The picture below, from a 2015 Samsung event, is the last time the couple were seen together in an official capacity.
Tisha & Duane - who was just cast in Gabrielle Union's upcoming "Bad Boys" spinoff tv series - were one of those staple long-time couples in black Hollywood, so the split will definitely come as a shocker to most.
It seems Tisha is focused on the future though with the possibility of a "Martin" reboot, the 90's cult classic sitcom she starred in along with real life bestie Tichina Arnold.
Welp, at least the besties can now be single divorcés out in these streets together.
