The 2018 NAACP Image Awards Non-Televised Award Show was oozing with Black Excellence at The Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Cali. And we’ve got what you won’t see during the televised awards show that will air live tonight on TV One.
Several YBF actors and actresses were early winners and “Power” star Naturi Naughton was one of them.
The new mom, rocking a white John Paul Ataker pant suit, copped the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her on-screen role as mom Tasha St. Patrick in fave gully series, “Power.”
Contacts - check. Serve stance - check. It was a big night for our little sis in our head Marsai Martin. She's growing up so fast! The cutie “black-ish” starlet, styling in a striped Christopher Bu dress and Loriblu booties, won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award for her role as Diane Johnson in the hit ABC series.
Caleb McLaughlin was another YBF kid winner. He nabbed the Outstanding Performance by a Youth (Series, Special, Television Movie or Limited Series) award for his role as Lucas Sinclair (who has a new little boo on the show) in the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things." By the way, Netflix has renewed the 80s sci-fi thriller for season 3. Here.Fot.It.
Papa Pope! “Scandal” star Joe Morton was all smiles on the carpet before winning the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award.

“This Is Us” star Sterling K. Brown is in the running for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, but we will not find out if he’s the winner until tonight.

"This Is Us" star Kelechi Watson, who plays Sterling's on-screen wife, was in the running for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, but Naturi ended up taking home the award. However, she's a FAB chick who slayed the hell out of her red carpet look.
Also, "This Is Us" has been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.
Actress Samira Wiley was also in the running for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in "The Handmaid's Tale." The "Orange Is The New Black" actress was hand in hand with her wife Lauren Morelli as they made their way down the carpet.
"Empire" star Jussie Smollett is in the running for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award for his role as Jamal Lyon.
"Insecure" raked in several nominations for this year's awards ceremony. And rightfully so, especially after being snubbed at the EMMYs. Nominee Yvonne Orji is nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award.
Her co-star Jay Ellis already won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award. Meanwhile, the show's creator and birthday girl Issa Rae has been nominated for the Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series award and the Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series award.

Also, ABC recently yanked "The Mayor" off the air and the show currently looking for a new home network.

We're loving the originality with these ladies. *hand clap*
