This year’s awards season officially kicks off with a funeral of sorts as celebrities showed up to the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
This isn’t just any “funeral.” It’s the death of the “old” misogynistic Hollywood and it’s a celebration to the strong women who held it down through the adversity. Celebrities hit the red carpet this year to slay with a statement, rocking all black ensembles to support the #TIMESUP movement. They also wore "Times Up" pins as well. It’s a fashion statement of solidarity with victims of sexual misconduct and our YBF celebs brought the goods.
Kerry Washington, who was tapped to present, made her way on the carpet in a black strapless Prabal Gurung with a high slit paired with embellished booties. The “Scandal” starlet gushed about the highly anticipated crossover episode with Viola Davis’ “How To Get Away With Murder.”
“It actually reminds me of what’s happening on the carpet tonight,” Kerry told E!. “ All these powerful and strong women coming together to work together and stand side by side. To be able to work with Shonda [Rhimes] and Viola [Davis], all at once, it’s really a spectacular opportunity. It’s how we roll in Shondaland. It’s how we’re rolling at the Globes this year too, but how we roll in Shondaland. Not in fancy black gowns, but we stand in solidarity all the time in Shondaland.”
With the final season of “Scandal” about to wrap up, Kerry revealed she’ll be scooping up those bad a** pags Olivia Pope rocked on the show. “All the Prada bags,” Kerry admitted. “Every single one. But don’t tell ABC & Disney.”
Can’t say that we blame her.

The wife-husband team is executive producing (with Viola narrating) a docuseries titled “Two Sides.”
According to Deadline, the four-part crime series will feature hour long episodes that explores the high-profile officer involved deaths of four black men and women, including Eric Garner (New York), Ezell Ford (California), John Crawford (Ohio), and Sandra Bland (Texas).
“Two Sides” is scheduled to premiere Monday, January 22 at 10 PM EST on TV One. Will you be tuning in?
Golden Globe nominee Issa Rae never disappoints and tonight wasn’t even different. The “Insecure” starlet struck a few poses in a custom Prabal Gurung ruffle shoulder side slit gown that featured a plunging neckline while showing support to the #TIMESUP movement.
Outside of another exciting season of “Insecure,” Issa is also working on two new projects with HBO.
