Glamour magazine hosted their Women of the Year Awards at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn to honor some of the trailblazing women who are fighting for our rights in all areas of life.
Three worthy YBF ladies made the list this year, including Solange, U.S. congresswoman Maxine Waters and Women’s March co-chair/activist Tamika Mallory. The ladies were featured on the cover and inside the magazine’ s annual issue. And last night, they’ve received their Women of the Year Awards in person.
Solange made her way on the carpet in a bold futuristic ensemble from Jean Paul Gaultier’s FW17 Couture collection. She topped her look off with a cropped platinum blonde coif.
YBF actress/activist Zendaya kept it pretty in a pink strapless Viktor&Rolf jumpsuit with a bow detail before presenting an award to Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
Leather and cut-outs! “black-ish” actress Tracee Ellis Ross was tapped to host the event and she made sure to turn heads in this Prabal Gurung dress and red pumps.

By the way, Tracee will be hosting the 2017 American Music Awards.
YAS, lace! Auntie Maxine hit the carpet in all black everything before receiving her award.
Congresswoman Waters had her husband Sid Williams by her side for her special night.
SNATCHED! Two months after giving birth to her baby girl Alexis, tennis superstar Serena Williams stepped out to show off her post-baby bod. And it’s looking damn good in this Versace mini.
Backstage, Serena was all smiles with her presenting buddy Lynda Carter.
“Power” star LaLa Anthony put a different spin on the LBD. She rolled up on the carpet in a black double-breasted Moschino dress, sweeping her hair up into a top bun with bangs.
Werk! "Orange Is The New Black" actress Laverne Cox came to slay in a black Stello gown. And chick never misses a moment to strike a pose.
Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad was proud to show off her brand new Barbie. It's the first-ever hijab wearing doll in the history of Barbie inspired by her greatness.
Model Halima Aden lit up the red carpet with her infectious smile.
"Queen Sugar" actress Dawn Lyen Gardner pulled off the wide-leg trousers like you're supposed to. Not too wife and the perfect length.
Beyonce's artists Halle x Chloe kept it stylish in Rodarte numbers.
Speaking of Bey, Mama Tina was in the building.
TV personality Tamron Hall posed it up alongside Martha Stewart in a black and white Alessandra Rich dress. We feelin' it?
Iconic model Iman made a bold statement in a purple ruffled Christian Siriano dress when she hit the carpet,
Writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie worked a chiffon Dior dress on the carpet.
TV personality AJ Calloway kept it dapper on the carpet.
Curvy model Ashley Graham, styling in a red Prabal Gurung pantsuit, was all smiles alongside her husband Justin Ervin.
We're not feeling this Prabal Gurung dress on International DJ/fitness enthusiast Hannah Bronfman, but she's a fab chick nonetheless.

Zendaya presented Auntie Maxine with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Have you ever been the only woman in a room?” Zendaya asked the audience. “What about the only Black woman in a room? Our next honoree has reminded us over and over again when we are faced with the despair and defeating odds of that room, we can not allow it to intimidate us. Instead she teaches us how to let it fuel us...She reminds us that we must be fearless in how we represent ourselves in a room where we are not always being represented.”
“I want you to seek out opportunities on boards and do everything you can do to get ready to run,” Auntie Maxine told the audience.
"You see again what is going on, you understand who is being disadvantaged, who is being undermined," she continued. "Trust yourselves. Do not doubt yourselves. Do what you know in your heart is right and trust yourselves."
She concluded her speech with a chant, saying, "Impeach 45!"
Gotta love her.
“When I was about 11 years old, you’ve got to shoot for the moon and even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars,” Solange said during her acceptance speech. “Well, I wasn’t interested in either one. I was interested in the journey there.” She explained, “We as women are told from the second that we come into our own that we must not only shoot for the moon but hold it in our hands, turn it until the morning, nurture all of its rings...and feel and look like a goddess. That is not my journey.”
She ended her speech thanking all of the black women who have uplifted her through her journey of life.
Backstage, Solange snapped it up with Citizen: An American Lyric author, Claudia Rankine, who introduced her.
Before she hit the stage to host, Tracee had some fun snapping selfies backstage.
New mom Serena did the honors of introducing model Gigi Hadid before she accepted her award. And since she's one of her closest friends, she decided she would leave her baby for a little while to present.
Also, Halle x Chloe hit the stage for a rousing performance.
