Mariah Carey has been looking like a snack lately, and reports say she had a little help...
MiMi dropped that billionaire fiancé and manager, and picked up BAWDY. Apparently.
Now that Mariah seems to have cleaned house in her champagne filled empire, she's been looking amazing. A few months ago, she was hitting stages performing in less-than-flattering sparkly bodysuits that caused mean body shamers to go in. She's still MiMi though, so we would never.
It sounds like the Queen of Christmas heard all the insults though, because reports allege she was bullied into getting weight loss surgery.
The tea hit the tabloids this morning:
Page Six has exclusively learned that the diva underwent gastric sleeve surgery last month, performed by a top surgeon in Beverly Hills, Calif., after her weight reportedly skyrocketed.
Sources explained:
A source told us of Carey, “Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer, as her Caesars Palace residency came to a close, and then she went on tour with Lionel Richie, she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.”
The source added that the superstar had been indulging in cocktails and dinners with her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka, and continued, “Mariah underwent the procedure about a month ago, and she is already seeing some good results, and she feels a lot better.”
That's unfortunate if she felt compelled to have surgery due to others' view of her body. Especially when a change in wardrobe would have served her just as well.
We're not totally sold on the rumor just yet. Mariah's weight has fluctuated for damn near as long as she's been in this business. She even lost 70 pounds after the birth of her twins back in 2011. So it's not impossible for her to have lost weight quickly in some way that didn't involve surgery.

Her current rep declined to comment. And her sometime-y boyfriend/backup dancer Bryan Tanaka has taken over as her day-to-day manager. Hmph.
