There’s Twitter beef, a new documentary to chronicle a rap beef and YBF celebuspawns inking a deal with an iconic brand. Get it all inside…
“You don’t want zero problems big fella!”
It isn’t the record label giving Chance The Rapper issues, it’s a production company who claims the rapper stiffed them out of some cash.
J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, a production company/team, hopped on Twitter to rant about Chance The Rapper NOT paying them for production of a song. Apparently, they were all up in their feelings once they found out that the Chi-town rapper has plans to try and save SoundCloud, a free music streaming platform
Then, they went on a tirade about Chance NOT paying them for his hit track “No Problems” (oh, the irony) and why he’s such a “fraud” (their words, not ours).
Peep the tweets:
Such a low blow to bring God into this mess.
Chance caught wind of their tweets (there were several) and savagely popped back:
Bloop!
Meanwhile, the production company continued to go in on Chance:
This isn't their first time coming for Chance either. Just last month they were blasting him about not paying producers.
Hmm...who do you believe?
In movie news...
A new documentary is in the works that will shed light on Kanye West and Jay Z’s former friendship to how they’ve become damn near enemies.
The major new Channel 4 documentary will take fans on a rollercoaster ride through Ye’s childhood, with unseen home videos, unseen videos and interviews and it will ultimately chronicle how “The Throne” went from being besties to no longer wanting to work together, as told by some of Kanye’s childhood friends.
Peep the clip below:
No word yet when the documentary will premiere, but we'll keep you posted.
Speaking of Hov...
The Smith Kids are all about brand building. And now that they’ve teamed up with Roc Nation, we can only expect bigger and better things from the duo.
Roc Nation has partnered with Jaden Smith, Williow Smith and artist Harru Hudson’s MSFTSrep artistic collective. And when you have a big brand like Roc Nation in your corner, it’s almost guaranteed to take your brand to the next level.
MSFTSrep is a collective of young creatives who release music, videos, magazines and merchandise. And they already have a pretty big following. To celebrate the union, Jaden released a new single titled “Watch Me.”
“The collaboration between Roc Nation and MSFTS Music is empowering for the youth and flat out legendary,” Jaden said in a statement. “Having the support of Roc Nation to get out music to the masses and change culture is a dream come true and a blessing.”
Congrats!
