The “Orange Is The New Black” star, above posing it up outside “The View” studio in NYC, was honored with her very own wax figure at Madame Tussands in Washington, D.C. She’s making history yet again.
She’s the first openly transgender person to have a wax figure of herself in Madame Tussauds 250-year history. And it came at the perfect time: Pride Month.
And the wax figure is SPOT on. She donated the dress she wore for her TIME magazine cover for a more realistic feel.
Nailed it.

Speaking of Pride Month...
There always seems to be some type of controversy when there’s change doesn’t it?
Well, a brown and black strip was added to Philadelphia’s new rainbow flag in hopes of catering to non-white LGBTQ people and to give more visibility to LGBTQ people of color. The city hoisted the new flag outside of City Hall as part of its month-long Pride celebrations. The new flag was created as part of the More Color More Pride campaign.
“It’s a push for people to start listening to people of color in our community, start hearing what they’re saying, and really to believe them and to step up and say ‘What can I do to help eradicate these issues in our community?,’” said Amber Hikes, the new executive director of Philadelphia’s Office of LGBT Affairs.
Of course, everyone isn’t here for it.
Some folks are mad about the new flag because it breaks tradition (there’s no brown or black in a rainbow), and that it gives people of color special treatment.
Really? We don’t see an issue with the new flag as it encourages inclusion for all. Thoughts?
