The 19-year-old rapper (yep, only 19), real name Dieuson Octave, was released from the Broward County this morning after serving time for violating his house arrest terms.
Once he was released from the big house (for the umpteenth time), Kodak posted a video of himself in the back seat of a vehicle vibing out to Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor.” Check it:
Kodak was arrested on February 28th after a court hearing on his probation violation. Apparently, he failed to complete a court-mandated anger management program. He also went to a strip club in Miami and a boxing match in Ohio...with permission.
He was facing a maximum of 8 years in prison, but he lucked up. According to the Sun Sentinel, Broward Judge Michael Lynch sentenced him to 364 days in county jail. Then, his sentence was reduced to 180 days (pending his completion of a life skills course) plus the time he had already served. He will still serve the remainder of his year-long house arrest term and five years probation.
He’s not out of the woods yet, still. The rapper has been accused of sexually assaulting a female fan in a hotel room in Florence, South Carolina. He could face up to 30 years in jail for that charge.
