Common pulled Halle Berry on stage to serenade her at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball last night. Yessss. Peep the performance, plus flicks of Yara Shahidi and her little brothers shining bright at a charity event in Beverly Hills inside…
The 16th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball went down in L.A. last night to raise funds to support services for low-income and homeless individuals across Los Angeles County. The Butterfly Ball recognizes leaders in film, television, and music who are passionate about about Chrysalis’ mission. And several YBF stars were in the mix last night.
Rapper Common was tapped to perform and he made it a special one. He pulled actress Halle Berry on stage to rap his classic track “Come Close.” She was into to it too. And we don't blame her.
Hmph.
Peep a clip below:
"Empire" star Jussie Smollett also hit the stage to perform.
Our fave Zendaya was also in the mix to speak during the ceremony.
Actress Dania Ramirez and Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons linked up with Halle and honoree Raymond Davis for a photo-op.
Shinin’! The Kidnap actress wowed in a sparkly GOSIA BACZYŃSKA dress as she posed it up outside before heading inside.
Jussie Smollett and Zendaya made their rounds, hitting up the carpet and snapping it up backstage before all the fun:
Looking flawless Z! The Disney starlet shut down the carpet in a black Mario Dice gown with pearls for an "Homage to Coco Chanel.”
Filmmaker/comedian Jordan Peele, who's currently working on the Get Out follow up, was in the mix.
At another charity event...
It’s a family affair!
“black•ish” starlet Yara Shahidi and her brother Sayeed Shahidi stepped out at the Brooks Brothers Beverly Hills summer camp party benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at Brooks Brothers on Rodeo.
The Shahidi kids posed it up with actress Peyton List and actor Aidan J. Alexander before stopping for a few solo flicks:
Their younger brother Ehsan Shahidi was also there chillin' with “This Is Us” actor Lonnie Chavis. Aww!
Brian White and fam were also there.
"Survivor's Remorse" star Jesse T. Usher showed off his new red look. We barely recognized him:
