In today’s TV round up, we’ve got details on your fave shows “This Is Us,” “Empire,” and “Scream Queens.” We’ve also got red carpet shots of Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and more at the NBC Upfronts. Get it all inside…
We told you a few months ago that NBC gave “This Is Us” the greenlight for a 2nd season (and 3rd season). Now, there are new details surrounding the hit drama.
The breakout show has been moved from Tuesdays and will now air during primetime on Thursdays at 9pm EST.
It’s a risky move switching one of its hit shows to a new night, but we doubt it will negatively affect the sophomore season. Thursdays on NBC are historic Must See TV nights. We’re all wrapped up in the lives of Randall, Kate, Kevin, Jack, Rebecca and Beth and we can’t wait to see what will happen in the upcoming season.
“This Is Us” (cast pictured above at the NBCUniversal Upfronts in NYC today) will also air a special episode following the 2018 Super Bowl game, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 4th.
Ahhh! We can't wait!
The "This Is Us" cast also fronts the newest issue of Ad Week:
Get ready to have your emotions all over the place this fall.
Also at the Upfronts...
It was recently announced Jennifer Huduson is joining “The Voice” as a coach. So, it was no surprise seeing the Grammy Award winner hitting the carpet at the NBCUniversal Upfront held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. How adorable is her son David Jr.?!
Jennifer Lopez has her own new show to promote (plus she stars on a hit show on the network), so she popped up on the carpet in a head turning number. And she had plenty of leg action going on. The usual slay.
The “Shades of Blue” star stunted in a Elie Saab Haute Couture dress from the SS17 collection paired with a pair of Christian Loubtin ankle strap sandals.
The former Fly Girl is a judge and the executive producer of her upcoming dance competition show, “World Of Dance.” So, she made her way down the carpet to link up with fellow judges Ne-Yo, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Derek Hough.
"World of Dance" premieres May 30th at 10/9c.
Oh, and JLo’s beau Alex Rodriguez was at work too…
At today’s FOX Upfronts, the former NY Yankee/MLB analyst made a surprise appearance during a rap musical act about Fox Sports. “I wish FOX paid as much as the Yankees,” he joked. #Jokesmultimillionairesmake
The happy couple also celebrated Mother's Day with a romantic dinner at Nobu (above).
On another red carpet, Cuba Gooding Jr. made his way to the Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards held at The Royal Festival Hall in London yesterday.
The YBF vet won a Bafta TV Award for his role as O.J. Simpson in the award winning mini-series "The People V OJ Simpson: American Crime Story." Congrats!
