Eddie Murphy's family is speaking up about the death of Charlie Murphy. Read their statement inside.
The sad news of actor/comedian/writer Charlie Murphy's sudden death hit everyone hard yesterday, and his younger brother Eddie Murphy and family are expressing their sadness over the heart breaking loss.
In a statement issued to press yesterday, the Murphy family said:
"Our hearts are heavy with the loss today of our son, brother, father, uncle and friend Charlie. Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won’t be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers. We respectfully ask for privacy during this time of great loss for all of us.”
Charlie lost his battle to Leukemia yesterday at the age of 57.
As one of the realist comedian's of our generation -- who did far more behind the scenes than many people realize -- the comedy community gave an outpouring of love and remembrances in his memory.
