Tracee Ellis Ross is known for showing her face at a fashion event and last night was no different.
The “black•ish” starlet hit up the 8th annual DVF Awards at the United Nations in NYC to celebrate a plethora of extraordinary women. Keeping with the night’s theme, the 44-yeear-old actress pulled off a DVF ensemble from the brand’s Spring 2017 collection.
And she even bumped into designer Diane von Furstenberg:
After hitting the carpet, Tracee made her way on stage to present Cuban journalist Yoani Sanchez an award. Her website "14ymedio" is the only independent digital news outlet in Cuba, where media is heavily controlled by the government. Congrats to her!
For entertainment, soulful songtress Andra Day hit the the stage to flex her A1 vocals:
Saaaang!
Speaking of singing...
Fresh from her spring break family getaway, Monica made her way to the Atlanta Hawks game for the team’s “Swipe Right” night at Philips Arena.
It was a special night for the R&B singer as she made history as the first female performer to hit the court for a halftime performance at a Hawks game. Who knew?
“Atlanta is home and there’s no place like home,” she told NBA.com.“I’m excited to perform during halftime for our own Atlanta Hawks and bring people together for Swipe Right Night. This city, my friends, family and fans always show me such great love and support, this is going to be a good time for all. I’m an Atlanta girl."
The Hawks, who hit the court against the Boston Celtics, brought back the popular “Swipe Right” night where fans can use the Tinder app inside the arena to gain access to special perks and meet up with matches in real time. Interesting concept.
