Pharrell Williams scored major success after producing the biographical drama Hidden Figures. And now he’s looking to do it all over again.
The CHanel spokesman and superproducer is working on a new musical titled Atlantis, which is being described as a Romeo & Juliet style story with musical elements that are inspired by P’s childhood in Virginia Beach. According to THR, the Grammy Award winner will team with FOX (again) to bring the musical to life after the network picked it up last week.
Gil Netter (The Blind Side) will join the team to produce alongside P, Tony Award winner Michael Mayer will helm the film and screenwriter Martin Hynes will pen the script. P will also join forces with his friend/producer Mimi Valdes (DOPE) after working together on Hidden Figures.
Atlantis definitely sounds like something we’ve never seen before, but it has peaked our interest. We’re curious to see how P and his crew are going to pull this off.

Clad in a Burberry wool cape on the cover, the 46-year-old stunna channels her inner rocker chick for Sorbet magazine. Famed photographer Nico Bustos shot the images for the magazine’s Spring 2017 “Dynamic Duos” edition.
Rock icons Patti Smith and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler were said to be the inspiration behind the editorials. And Naomi pulls off the themed shoot flawlessly.
