Celebrity stylist Law Roach hit the party scene with several other celebrities and stylists to celebrate his magazine debut on The Hollywood Reporter's Most Powerful Stylists Issue. Also, Lee Daniels rounds up his "STAR" girls for a performance. Flicks and videos inside...
A star doesn’t shine as bright without a bad a** stylist working behind-the-scenes to make sure they’re always red carpet ready and looking their best.
Last night, The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo hosted a star-studded soiree at Craig's restaurant in L.A. to show love to the most powerful celebrity stylists in the game. And one YBFer was in the mix to celebrate his spot on the list AND his magazine cover debut.
Law Roach, stylist to stars Zendaya and Celine Dion, landed one of the covers of THR’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood issue, making his magazine cover debut. "I walked in and it was one of the first magazines on the bar as I passed and I literally gasped!,”he said at the party.
Making history, he’s the first African-American stylist to grace the cover of THR’s Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood issue. Congrats! He came in at the 21st spot on the coveted list.
At the party, he had fun with fellow stylists Ade Samuel and Jason Rembert in the party booth.
Another YBFer who made the list...
Celebrity stylist Jason Bolden, rocking Armani shoes gifted to him from his uncle, made his way on the scene with his friend/client Mary J. Blige. He came in at No. 18 on the list.
“What's dope about Mary is that she's always wearing her own jewelry — how f—ing amazing is that?," he said. "It's a true moment when clothes are fun and this is fun," he continued about the special night.
And here's the look he came up with for the R&B diva:
We see you Mary!
Also at the party...
Oscar winner and new dad Mahershala Ali, Big Sean and Jhene Aiko (who stepped out to support their stylist Ade Samuel) and John Legend (who came out to support his stylist Dave Thomas) were all in the mix.
"I think the fact that all the people and the power machine behind Hollywood are celebrated, that's what makes [this evening] so amazing and different." Big Sean said about Ade. “Ade has really helped me step my game up tremendously,” he continued. Jhene agreed, saying, “Ade is really good with being in tune with who you are; she's good at amplifying the sound that you already have."
Making his rounds, Mahershala was spotted chopping it up with Justin Timberlake and actor Jonah Hill and having fun in the party booth with Ade:
Nicole Richie was also in the mix to celebrate all of Hollywood's "IT" stylists.
On another THR cover...
Loving actress Ruth Negga was also featured on one of the THR covers alongside her stylist Karla Welch and “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” star Sarah Paulson.

At another event star-studded event last night...
Before the season finale of “STAR” airs on FOX tonight, Lee Daniels rounded up lead actresses for a performance at the iHeartRadio Theater. Actresses Brittany O'Grady, Ryan Destiny and Jude Demorest were all smiles with the series’ co-creator before hitting the stage.
The ladies had some fun on the carpet as well.
Fab chick Ryan Destiny looked amazing on the carpet in a navy blue mini dress and black sandals.
Her on-screen boyfriend was also on the scene:
