Halle Berry’s hair at the Oscars became a hot topic when it started trending on Twitter. And most hated it. Halle claims she was celebrating her natural curls, but is this a wig or nah? Decide for yourself inside….
When Halle Berry rolled up on the red carpet there was more talk about her hair more than anything else. She definitely did something different than her usual pixie cut or long luscious locs.
The Oscar winner rolled up on the red carpet rocking a head full of curls to top off her Atelier Versace look. She said her wild, new “natural” ‘do made her feel feminine and fresh and that’s why she went with the curls.
“I have always marched to the beat to my own drum, and I think this red-carpet look encapsulates that,” Halle Berry told Vogue. “The dress is glamorous with a sense of romance that made me feel feminine and fresh. With this look, I celebrate my natural hair by allowing it to be wild and free.”
Was was Halle celebrating her "natural hair"....as in the name of a wig style?
Well, her longtime hairstylist Castillo claims it's her real hair. And now that we know that, she def can get a hand clap.
“I would say I cut off at least 5 inches. It created a whole new shape,” he told InStyle.“It’s definitely a new look for her—we went for a very natural, curly, powerful asymmetrical ‘fro. This is something she’e never done before and it’s just ridiculous how good she looks.”
But, not everyone was feeling Ms. Berry’s curls:
Halle Berry obviously let some white beauty student from Tulsa Oklahoma do her hair #oscars

Wait... that was Halle Berry's real hair? Why did it look like a sample wig from a hood beauty shop tho?

Halle Berry's hair. I would not be mad if she took a bathroom break and traded wigs with somebody, anybody. Love you, though, Halle.
