A Missouri KKK imperial wizard was found dead over the weekend. And now, police have arrested a man and a woman for his death.
51-year-old Frank Ancona, Ku Klux Klan imperial wizard of the Traditional American Knights, was found dead on the bank of Big River four days after he went missing from his home in Leadwood, MO. A family discovered his body while on a fishing trip.
According to KMOV, Frank’s wife, 44-year-old Malissa Ann Ancona, and his stepson, 24-year-old Paul Edward Jinkerson Jr., were charged with first degree-murder in connection to his death. They were also charged with armed criminal action, tampering with physical evidence and abandonment of a corpse.
St. Francois County Prosecutor Jarrod Mahurin believes the motive in the fatal shooting is a marital issue. He believes Frank was shot in his head in his home because he told his wife he wanted a divorce.
STL Today reports:
Jinkerson shot his sleeping stepfather in the bedroom of the victim’s home in Leadwood, sheriff’s Detective Matt Wampler wrote in an affidavit accompanying the charges. Ancona’s body was taken in Jinkerson’s vehicle to an area outside Belgrade, where it was dumped near the Big River, Wampler wrote.
Malissa Ancona told investigators that he had been sent on a trip deliver a part [for his job], but the employer denied that. She told authorities she had last seen her husband Wednesday.
When investigators searched the Ancona home Saturday, they found “extensive blood evidence” in the master bedroom, officials said. Malissa Ancona told police in a recorded interview that Jinkerson shot her husband, and she helped clean up the blood and tried to cover up the crime, Wampler wrote.
Mahurin said that both Ancona and Jinkerson were involved in disposal of the body and the cleanup.
We definitely didn’t see that ish coming when this story first broke yesterday.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
In case you were wondering about the black man in the picture with Frank above, they apparently formed a "friendship" despite their different beliefs. The man is a blues musician, named Darryl Davis, who formed an alliance with Frank following the South Carolina church massacre that took the lives of 9 churchgoers by gunman Dylan Roof.
