In movie news...
We told you Taraji P. Henson landed a kick a** role in Proud Mary, following her SAG Award winning feature in Hidden Figures. Now, she’s about to be directed by a man who is just as kick a** as she is.
Baback Najafi, who helmed last year’s London Has Fallen to a $205.7M worldwide box office total, is reportedly in negoiations to helm the Screen Gems project.
The Golden Globe winner will play a ruthless hit woman whose life is completely changed after she meets a young boy who awakens a maternal instinct she never knew she had.
John Stewart Newman and Christian Swegal penned the script, and Paul Schiff and Tai Duncan are producing the film. Taraji and co. will start shooting in April in Boston, Massachusetts.
We're here for it.
