2017 is looking bright for actress Tika Sumpter.

She’s a first time mom, she’s engaged and she nabbed her first magazine cover for the new year.

“The Have and the Have Nots” actress looks smoking hot while serving up some serious face action on the cover of UPSCALE magazine’s February 2017 issue. Inside, she’ll talk about being a first time mom, the fickle town of Hollywood and holding her own.

The super private Southside With You star recently opened up about how her soon-to-be husband/co-star Nicholas James dropped down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. And it was totally cute.

“He is amazing. I love my fiancé Nicholas so much," the 36-year-old told “The Real" ladies. “He did all of these amazing things [Christmas morning]. I went on a little hunt in the house...And then he had a letter behind Ella and he's like, "Ella has something to say to you." And it was just this letter of beauty. And then he proposed. It was just simple and just awesome.”

Aww! How sweet.

As for how she’s coming along on her “snap back,” Tika isn’t worried about it much. She said snapping back to her pre-pregnancy weight comes secondary to being there for her daughter, Ella-Loren.

In an Instagram post, she wrote:

I'm happy regardless. (That's what that pic says) I must say the pressure to "snap back" was secondary to being present for my baby. Every story I hear about moms feeling the pressure of getting there body's back breaks my heart. Being a new mom or a mom in general is A LOT! You're still healing even after 3 months. You have to do what's right for you. You just did the most miraculous thing ever by pushing a human being out of your body! Be gentle w yourself (genetics also play a role). Know I'm rooting for you, and I too am now ready to lose this last bit of weight. What's most important is happy mommy, happy baby. Don't allow the pressures of magazines to pull you in. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that the public doesn't always get to see. I love you guys. I'll be checking in w you on my new mommy journey. P.S. Spanks go a long way. #mom #newmommyclub #happymommy #happybaby

Kelly Rowland should consider making emerald green her signature color. We love how the hue meshes with her perfect skintone.

The R&B singer, rocking a emerald green Burlington wrap shirt, made her way to the Burlington flagship store in NYC’s Union Square to celebrate Heart Month in partnership with the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. The #KnockOutHeartDisease project aims to raise money for WomenHeart, an initiative that strives to “improve the health and quality of life of women living with or at risk of heart disease, and to advocate for their benefit.”

In 2014, Kelly lost her mother, Doris Rowland Garrison, after she went into cardiac arrest. Her mother died just a few weeks after Kelly gave birth to her son, Titan Witherspoon. So, raising healthy heart awareness to other women has become a cause close to her heart.

“Immediately when they talked about raising awareness to other women, I was like, ‘I’m in,'” Kelly tells Yahoo Style.

She said,“Because it was such a tough loss for me and because it was so sudden, I felt the need to talk to other women about it. I feel like when you understand what’s going on with your body — or if you don’t know — this is an opportunity to spread awareness about it so that you will know.”

Gotta love when our YBFers give back!
