News broke yesterday about the sudden and unfortunate death of legendary actor and songwriter Alan Thicke. He reportedly suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter at Pickwick Gardens ice skating rink in Burbank, something they did together often as Alan was a huge ice hockey fan.
It's no secret where Grammy-nominated artist Robin Thicke got his talents. His father composed the theme music for "Different Strokes" and creating plenty of timeless music, and was one of America's favorite tv dads on "Growing Pains" and even stars in the new second season of "Fuller House" on Netflix.

Alan's ex-wife, singer and actress Gloria Loring, confirmed his death in a statement on Facebook which said:
"It is a shock. We were all just together for Thanksgiving. He was talented, funny and deeply devoted to his family. Rest In Peace, dear one."
