Gayle King isn’t leaving “CBS This Morning” anytime soon. And the coinage isn’t bad either. Go inside for deets on her new contract, plus how her bestir Oprah hilariously checked her inside….
Gayle King is making bank!
The daytime anchor just scored a $16.5 million deal to remain co-host of “CBS This Morning” for the next three years. Woot!
She’ll be raking in a cool $5.5 million a year to appear on the morning news show alongside co-anchors Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell, according to Page Six.
While “CBS This Morning” trails behind NBC’s “TODAY” show and ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the ratings for the show have been climbing year-to-year, especially since Gayle signed on in 2012. And with the reporter turned magazine editor turn news anchor serving up her fabulousness we predict the ratings to continue.
We love to see hard work pay off!
And we also love her and Oprah's bestie behavior:
Apparently, Oprah was NOT feeling her girl's necklace she wore on the show the other day, so she had to tell her. Gayle snapped a picture of herself with the caption, "Note @oprah sent to my asst this am "plz tell Gayle I'm on treadmill & it's hard to focus w/the circus around your neck" I think she's WRONG thoughts?" HA! Gotta love it.
