After being admitted to UCLA Medical Center a few days ago, Kanye West will continue his 72 hour psychiatric hold through Thanksgiving. And it's not looking good. Kim, however, has been by his side the entire time.
TMZ reports:
Kanye West is in a bad mental state ... and sources familiar with the situation tell us his hospitalization is far from over.
Our sources say as of Wednesday morning it appeared he would stay at UCLA Medical Center until at least week's end. We're told some members of Kanye's family wanted him home for Thanksgiving and felt it would do him good, but as of yesterday that looked improbable.
As for that tour cancellation, the conspiracists who thought this mental breakdown was all a ploy to avoid being sued for cancelling his tour will now have more proof to add to their theory. The site reports that due to his apparent mental illness, insurance will cover any losses from the tour (unless it's found he had a pre-existing condition):
A well-connected Kanye source tells us Kanye's psychological problems are significant enough so that his insurance policy -- which covers lost profits and financial obligations for cancelled concerts due to illness -- will almost certainly cover the losses for the 21 concerts he's cancelled.
Meanwhile, rumors are storming media that Kim and Kanye are on the rocks. Sources tell PEOPLE:
“The last few months have been difficult for their marriage,” says one insider. “They bicker a lot and things are not great.”
“He is exhausted and overwhelmed,” says the insider, who adds that Kardashian West has not been “thrilled” and appears “less patient” with West than in the past.
While we wouldn't be surprised, we're hesitant to believe it just yet. Folks always suddenly have so much insight into a marriage when something goes down.
