This has to be one of the funniest birth stories we’ve ever heard.
“This Is Us” star Sterling K. Brown stopped by “LIVE with Kelly” today to chat it up about his popular new drama that is raking in impressive viewer ratings. The YBF actor shared how he was determined to get the role on "This Is Us" and that he auditioned for it while filming "The People vs. O.J. Simpson" series.
Later, he some hilarious details about how he helped his wife deliver their first child.
The proud dad of two sons, ages 5 and 1, didn’t experience the birth of his first child like most dads. The Hollywood star had to step into the doctor mode to help his wife/actress Ryan Michelle Bathe give birth, but he did so in one of the most hilarious ways.
When his wife went into labor, he was super calm about it. His wife on the other hand was sort of freaking out as it seemed the process was happening way faster than either of them expected.
Sterling was very animated with the story, getting on his knees in the chair as he served up a visual on how his wife pushed out their baby boy. Their son, Andrew, was ready to make his grand arrival and he did so rather quickly, forcing Sterling to take control of the situation and it made for funny, yet cute, story.

Meanwhile, Sterling’s “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” co-star Courtney B. Vance is working on a new project:
Courtney B. Vance is gearing up to star in and produce a new political family drama tentatively titled “Libby & Malcolm,” starring opposite Felicity Huffman.
Not only is the Primetime EMMY winner starring in the new ABC series, he’s also executive producing the project, according to Deadline. “black•ish” creator Kenya Barris and Vijal Patel (“black•ish”) have teamed up to write the script and Patel is listed as a co-executive producer, along with Felicity.
Below is a synopsis of the new comedy:
Written by Barris and Patel, Libby & Malcolm is a blended family show about two polar opposite political pundits — Libby (Huffman) and Malcolm (Vance) — who fall in love despite all odds and form an insta-family as well as a work partnership.
Vance’s Malcolm Black is a smooth, confident Liberal pundit and father of three kids who arms himself with cold hard facts and an irresistible easy charm that wins over everyone he meets. Malcolm recently married, Libby (Huffman) — a strong, brilliant, White Republican who won his heart by knocking him off his feet. Now they’ll forge a new life together at home against all odds while going head-to-head at work on their fiery new political talk show.
This sounds like something we could get into.
