As President, the job comes with a lot of perks. And for his sanity, President Barack Obama has the secret service to look after his daughters, 15-year-old Sasha and 18-year-old Malia Obama. So, when it comes to their dating lives, he’s pretty relaxed about it. Not to mention, he has a wonderful wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, who has been a good role model to the girls, showing them how to be a respectable lady.
While chatting with Raleigh radio station WDCJ, POTUS explained why he’s so chill when it comes to Sasha and Malia’s dating life:
“[Michelle] is such a great example of how she carries herself, her self-esteem not depending on boys to validate how you look or you know, not letting yourself be judged by anything other than your character and intelligence. And hopefully I’ve been a good example in terms of how I’ve shown respect to my wife.”
As for the “extra help” that keeps him at ease, he said:
“The other reason is because they have Secret Service. There’s only so much these guys can do! These poor young men come by the house.”
Ha!
The Commander-in-Chief was asked if the guys that come by have any idea what they’re dealing with when it comes to the Secret Service, POTUS responded, “Oh, they have an idea. I describe it for them.”
Bet he does! Even though he has the Secret Service, we could see POTUS grilling a young man like Martin Lawrence did in “Bad Boys.”
