Phaedra Parks wants you to know she's single. VERY single. Her divorce is final and she's ready for the next. Find out what she's dishing inside...
"RHOA" star Phaedra Parks is a free woman, and she's no longer married to her incarcerated husband, Apollo Nida. Not even on paper.
The lawyer and reality star confirmed on ET today that the divorce is final. She revealed:
“I'm actually divorced. I am done … it was very anticlimactic, shall I say? No one gets married to end in divorce, so it's bittersweet.” “It's been a very long, hectic process, but at the end of the day, I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life,” she shares.
“We were a family. This is pretty much the death of that family unit, so it's sad … but at the same time, it's giving me a new beginning.”
She does say that she and Apollo will stay connected in some form through their two sons:
“Apollo and I, obviously, are going to be connected through our wonderful children through the rest of our lives,” Phaedra adds. “I try to keep him in the loop as much as possible, because he obviously is in prison. I'm very cognizant that he wants to be a father ... and when he reaches out and calls, we try to make sure there's an open line of communication with the boys.”
And she's ready to move on, but not thirsty to do so:
“I'm anxious for nothing,” Phaedra jokes. “I will probably date at some point, but right now I'm just letting it all soak in, the newness of it. You know, if you date me, you date the boys. We come as a big threesome!”
Phaedra talked about the kind of man who would get her attention:
“The perfect guy would be a god-fearing guy, a guy who loves children -- a guy who loves my sons as much as I do -- someone who's generous, smart, witty,” she adds. “You know, me with a penis.”
And yes, she's open to getting married again:
“I'll definitely get married again,” Phaedra confesses. “To know love is better than to not know love. I mean, love is awesome and … I'm very optimistic that there is Prince Charming, Mr. Perfect, Mr. Right.”
