There’s a new school of YBF male actors and their taking over the film and television industry.
Cory Hardrict, Jay Ellis and Colman Domingo were tapped the new cover of digital magazine HEED, which celebrates the strides in diversity being made in Hollywood. And boy are they looking dapper as ever.
Cory has been making waves on the Hollywood scene starring in movies American Sniper and Brotherly Love. He flexed his acting chops playing two characters in a lead role in the drama Destined. And he’s also starring in the upcoming Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me, set to hit theaters in 2017.
While Jay has starred in several projects earlier on his career, he’s most known for his role in the TV drama “The Game.” Since then, he has popped up in guest starring roles on several television series, including “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Masters of Sex,” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Jay currently stars opposite Issa Rae in HBO’s new comedy “Insecure.”
Meanwhile, Colman is making a name for himself after starring in Lincoln, Lee Daniels’ The Butler, SELMA and most recently Nate Parker’s Birth of a Nation. These guys are putting in WORK!
You can check out their profiles in HEED magazine here.
Speaking of YBF actors....
Lupita Nyong’o worked this print heavy Kenzo x H&M number at the brand’s launch event, directed by Jean-Paul Goude’, held at Pier 36 a few days ago.
The designer collaboration showed off their funky, colorful and vibrant pieces on the runway before the afterparty. The Oscar winner was front row ready checking out all of the new stylish pieces that hit the runway.
Further down the front row, former model Bethann Hardison (who is a huge advocate for diversity on the runway) was perched on the front row in her printed Kenzo x H&M threads next to Iman (also rocking Kenzo x H&M), celebrity stylist June Ambrose and fashion editor Stephen Gan.
Looks like Chance The Rapper found a new friend in model/actress Chloe Sevigny.
Love this skirt! "Luke Cage" star Rosario Dawson was all smiles snapping it up with her gift on the carpet.
After the show, it's the afterparty...
And EVERYONE turned all the way up!:
Get it!
Rapper/filmmaker Ice Cube also hit the stage for a performance that had everyone lit.
