Wow! NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen just filed for divorce from his wife of 19 years, Larsa Pippen. She found out two days later. Now, Future's name is all in the mix. Deets inside...
It's the year of the blindside, apparently.
The legendary Chicago Bulls baller filed for divorce from "Real Housewives of Miami" star Larsa Pippen on Tuesday, and according to People magazine, Larsa was notified of the filing today (Thursday).
Scottie filed in a Florida court as the couple has a permanent residence in Miami.
The couple has four children together: Sophia Pippen, Scotty Pippen Jr., Justin Pippen and Preston Pippen.
Scottie and Larsa were just seen together last month, hugged up and seemingly happy, front row at NYFW (above and below).
Larsa sent out a statement to media outlets today stating:
"After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage,” the statement said. "Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their four beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect. … She would like to thank everyone for their understanding and kindly ask for privacy from the media during this difficult time of transition for her family."
Well, she now has more time to snap selfies, hang out with her bestie Kim K., and play dress up in barely there clothes.
Rumors started swirling that Larsa had already started dating rapper (and hr friend Ciara's ex-fiancé) Future. Hmmm. Not necessarily believable, but not impossible either. TMZ reports Larsa and Future's people both say they've simply been friends a long time, and Future has too many chicks to be dealing with a married one:
Future is NOT the reason Larsa Pippen and Scottie are calling it quits ... this according to sources connected to Larsa.
Fact of the matter is ... people have spotted Larsa and Future hanging out recently in Miami -- and with Scottie filing for divorce this week, there have been rumblings that Larsa and Future were a thing.
But sources extremely close with Larsa tell us ... they've been friends for a LONG time and there's nothing romantic going on with them.
We've also got Future sources telling us the same thing -- and noting that he's got so many women, he's not about to mess with a married one.
Reportedly, Scottie and Larsa drifted apart because Scottie was traveling so much to Chicago for work. Mmmhmm.
