We’ve been watching the drama unfold between former NBA baller Gilbert Arenas and his ex-fiancée Laura Govan over the years. And now, Gilbert just got a one up on Laura.
You’ll recall, Gilbert filed a lawsuit (one of many) against Laura for libel after she allegedly blasted him for giving her a slew of STDs and allegedly leaked it to the media.
It’s being reported Gilbert claimed the email affected his ability to work on a new app he’s creating without distraction and totally humiliated him. He was gunning for a seven-figure settlement, but the judge felt there wasn’t enough evidence to award him that amount. Instead, he got $110,110 for his emotional distress.
By the way, Laura made it clear she "has very limited financial means at this time,” so no telling when Gilbert will see this money. Yikes.

Recently, Sacramento Kings baller Matt Barnes fired shots at his sons’ mother Gloria Govan in a new Instagram video.
The NBA baller went on a rant about women who keep their children away from their fathers, urging women to let men who want to be fathers in their kids’ lives. He said kids are not trophies, pawns or meal tickets and that they need love from both sides. Sounds like he may be feeling some type of way towards Gloria.

Matt posted the picture above yesterday with his twin boys captioning, "Got to catch their last soccer game.. It's was a treat, Isaiah had 6 goals.. I think that's the Mexican in them lol. Love you guys Ima miss you! #DaddiesBoys"
This week, Matt appeared on “The Vertical Podcast with J.J. Redick” to dish on his cameo on “Basketball Wives.” In so many words, he regrets ever appearing on the show and called it false notion of what his life is really like. He said,
"The biggest mistake I ever made was doing that stupid Basketball Wives show," he said, "because it’s just such a negative, untrue, fantasy of what our lives are like. Our lives are nothing like that, but people live and swear by that reality TV…None of it is true. Nothing you see on these reality TV—not even just Basketball Wives—it’s all staged. They say it’s unscripted. It’s not. Everything is scripted."
He also explained how he was approached to being on the show saying,
"I was with Shaq in Phoenix when Shaq brought it to me at practice like, 'Yo, [my wife] Shaunie wants to do a show. Will you let Gloria be on?'" he said. "I was like, 'Oh, hell no. What are you talking about?' Like we had just had the kids and everything."
Sounds like he won't be making anymore apperances on reality television anytime soon.
