Naya Rivera is out for blood and she’s spilling all the tea on her failed relationship (and engagement) with Big Sean. Find out what she said about catching the rapper with Ariana Grande before he called off their engagement inside….
Back in 2013, Big Sean and “Glee” star Naya Rivera were drunk in love with each other. After about a year of dating, the Detroit rapper popped the question in hopes of spending the rest of his life with the actress. But, things went south and he eventually called off the engagement.
Now, we've learned why.
In her new book "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up," the 29-year-old actress (who’s now married to actor Ryan Dorsey) opens up about catching her then fiancé with Pop superstar Ariana Grande. She says she walked in on the two at his home before they broke up.
She writes:
"We'd been fighting for five straight days while he was traveling, and then on the one day that he was back in L.A., he said he didn't want to see me," Rivera writes of her ex-fiancé. Because she had a key to his house, she let herself in and stumbled upon the pop princess. "Guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music?" she asks. "It rhymes with 'Smariana Schmande.'"
Bloop! But did she say she let herself in though? Probably extra calmly and matter-of-factly too. You know how folks do when they have a point to prove with bae. Ha!
You'll recall, Sean and Ariana ended up getting into a relationship with one another shortly after he called off the engagement with Naya, but they eventually broke up after dating less than a year.
Naya goes on to say Sean didn’t even have the decency to contact her directly to let her know he no longer wanted to marry her. She says she found out via the Internet just like everyone else.
"I learned that I was no longer getting married from the Internet, and at the same time as the rest of the world," she writes. "Not only were we no longer getting married, but apparently we weren't even together anymore."
Damn son.
And here’s a shocker. Naya used to date Tia & Tamera Mowry’s little brother Tahj Mowry…well kind of.
In the book, she says she experienced many firsts with Tahj, including her first kiss. The kicker? Their first kiss happened at a movie theater with their moms sitting in front of them. Ha! She reveals she walked her first red carpet with Tahj at the NAACP Image Awards (in a white dress on the very day she got her period for the first time). Poor thing.
Their puppy love romance continued before Tahj called it off because “he thought he needed to date someone more on his financial level.” Oh? We wonder which level that would be, if true. However, she claims they’re still friends.
“He thought he needed to date someone more on his financial level,” writes Rivera. “Dick. We’re still friends.”
Well tell 'em how you really feel Naya.
She also discusses her problem with former "Glee" co-star Lea Michele and her abortion she had with her now husband when they first dated back in 2010.
