YBF celebs showed up and showed out to party it up on the afterparty scene at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. Peep their red carpet flicks inside….
Birth of a Nation creator Nate Parker has been in the headlines in recent weeks after his 17-year-old rape case resurfaced. But, that’s not stopping him from hitting the promo trail for his upcoming Nat Turner slave revolt film.
After screening his new film, Nate, who wrote, directed and produced Birth of a Nation, made his way to the red carpet at the TIFF/InStyle/HFPA Party held at Windsor Arms Hotel over the weekend. Birth of a Nation received a standing ovation from those who peeped the screening of the film. Nate also participated in a Q&A following the film where one reporter asked him why he hadn’t apologized to the alleged accuser’s family. Get his response HERE.
As he made his way down the carpet, he bumped into his co-star Jason Stuart.
And he even stopped to sign autographs for fans outside of the venue.
Birth of a Nation star Gabrielle Union was also on the scene to promote the new film. She dazzled in a Sophie Theallet gown from the designer’s Fall 2016 collection. Are we feelin’ it?

Gabby’s co-star Aja Naomi King, who also stars on “How To Get Away With Murder,” rolled up to the carpet rocking a purple and navy blue flirty frock by Oscar de la Renta and navy blue Monique Lhuillier heels.
Before Aja makes her big screen debut (October 7th), she'll be reprising her role in the upcoming new season of "How To Get Away With Murder" that's set to premiere Thursday, September 22nd at 10pm EST.
Your fave Taraji P. Henson kicked off her birthday celebration in a printed Naeem Khan dress on the carpet at the InStyle afterparty to promote her new film Hidden FIgures. The gorgeous YBF chick turned 46-years-young yesterday. And she copped a new ‘do for the celebration.

"Orange Is The New Black" EMMY winner Uzo Aduba made her film festival debut at the 2016 TIFF to screen her new film American Pastoral. Uzo kept it sexy in a black off-the-shoulder dress and styling her hair au naturel. She's currently doing season 5 of "OITNB."
Hollywood vet Louis Gossett Jr. was on the party scene after the screening his faith-based drama The Reason.
