Diddy gets critical over President Barack Obama’s presidency and is now urging the black community to hold their vote in the upcoming election. Get it all inside…

Hip Hop mogul Diddy is giving his unfiltered opinion on President Barack Obama’s presidency. The Bad Boy honcho, who recently opened his own charter school in Harlem, tells Rev. Al Sharpton in an MSNBC interview that he feels like POTUS “shortchanged” black people and that the black vote is what put him into office. In so many words, he says we put him in office our voices were not heard.

He says he’s not “knocking” the President. In fact, he said POTUS did an excellent job, but he’s “hurt” that a lot of issues in the black community were not addressed.

"My number one thing, to be honest, is black people. I feel like, we put President Obama in the White House. When I look back, I just wanted more done for my people because that's the name of the game," he explains..

Now, he says it’s time for black people to “turn up the heat” and to “hold our vote” as a way of revolutionizing the political game. He says the black vote will select the next president.

"The heat has to be turned up so much that as a community, we've got to hold our vote," Diddy says. "Don't pacify yourself; really revolutionize the game. Make them come for our vote. It's a whole different strategy, but I think we need to hold our vote because I don't believe any of them."

Hurt that he didn't get invited to the White House to party and strategize with the President like his counterparts did?  or does he have a valid point?  The 46-year-old entertainer/businessman hopes Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will start directly speaking to the black community and actually address real issues that effect us all.

In other POTUS news...

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has lost his damn mind disrespecting our President! On Monday, Duterte had the audacity to pop off calling POTUS a "son of a whore.”

"Putang ina, I will swear at you in that forum," Duterte said, using a Tagalog phrase for "son of a whore" or "son of a b***h".

The Philippines have been America's ally for years, but recently, Duterte has become upset about America questioning his country's choice to support drug-related extra-judicial killings.  Basically, Duterte is in favor of killing people for drug crimes as opposed to jail, similar to a "for the greater good" mindset.  More than 2,000 suspected drug users and dealers have died since Duterte took office two months ago.

“Washington has been so liberal about criticizing human rights, human rights and human rights. How about you? I have so many questions also about human rights to ask you. So … people who live in glass houses should not throw stones," Duterte said, the Associated Press reported.

Welp.

POTUS and Duterte were scheduled to meet in the Lao capital Tuesday afternoon in Vientiane to chop it up about human rights. President Obama, being the high road type of guy that he is, played down Duterte’s disrespectful talk calling him a “colorful character.”  He later spoke with his aides about meeting with Duterte after his rant. They decided to cancel the meeting because they didn’t think they could have a “constructive and productive conversation.”

"I always want to make sure if I'm having a meeting that it's actually productive and we're getting something done," he told reporters.

No time for the BS.  Duterte apologized today saying in a statement from his office:

"While the immediate cause was my strong comments to certain press questions that elicited concern and distress, we also regret it came across as a personal attack on the U.S. president.  Our primary intention is to chart an independent foreign policy while promoting closer ties with all nations, especially the U.S. with which we have had a long-standing partnership."

In lighter news...

POTUS is gearing up to host the first ever South by South Lawn Festival at the White House, inspired by South by Southwest (SXSW). He attended the festival (and was a keynote speaker) earlier this year and now wants to do his own.

The South by South Lawn Festival will be a one-day festival to “celebrate the spirit of innovation” for an evening of music, film and fun.

A partnership with SXSW and the American Film Institute and the President’s Committee on Arts and Humanities, the festival will feature three parts: interactive, music and film.

The White House announced:

“On October 3, the White House will convene creators, innovators, and organizers from across the country for an evening of music, film and great ideas. It is a call to arms for every American to roll up their sleeves and make a positive mark on our country — and a celebration of the great work so many of us have already accomplished.”

Nice!
