After hanging out with John Legend over the weekend, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o made her way to Day 2 of the U.S. Open to cheer on Serena Williams during her first round match yesterday.
We’re not sure who the mystery guy who tagged along. Possibly just a good friend.
While watching Rena battle it out on the court, she took to her Twitter to gush over finally seeing the world’s No. 1 female tennis player in action:

YBF chicks supporting YBF chicks...we can dig it.
As for the game...
Rena, who introduced her friend Beyonce at the 2016 MTV VMAs, was victorious over Russian player Ekaterina Kakarova, winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium inside the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queen yesterday. Folks were speculating if Serena would be able to pull it off being that Ekaterina was tough competition. But, it wasn’t anything she couldn’t handle.
Taking all the prisoners!
Meanwhile...
Serena's sister Venus Williams took the court a few hours before and defeated Ukraine player Kateryna Kozlova, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
Take that, take that!
Congrats ladies!
