The 2016 Neighborhood Awards went down in Las Vegas with host Steve Harvey, along with his wife Marjorie, Erykah Badu, Toni Braxton and tons more. Peep the pics inside…
After cutting up at the MGM to kick off his YBF weekend, TV and radio host Steve Harvey hosted his annual State Farm Neighborhood Awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas last night.
Every year, the show honors local businesses, religious/neighborhood leaders, churches, and high schools for their contributions as well as excellence within their own neighborhoods. Fans vote for their faves in the weeks leading up to the show and winners from the 12 categories are announced during the show.
Of course, Steve's wife Marjorie was there to show her support.
Before they hit the stage, she shared this cute coupledom shot. #BlackLove!
Back on stage...
Several celebrities were tapped to present awards during the ceremony, including actress Wendy Raquel Robinson, singer Toni Braxton, TV personality Terrence J and comedian Sommore:
With Omega Psi Phi holding its conclave in Vegas this weekend, TJ had to do it up for the bruhz with his line brothers Fred Whit and Uche Byrd. We're sure Steve was backstage setting it 'owt' along with them. Ha!
The awards show came complete with several special performances by The O'Jays, Erykah Badu and Maxwell:
The performances got Sheryl off her feet!
On the carpet:
R&B diva Toni Braxton kept it her usual sultry self on the carpet before posing it up with son Diezel Braxton.
Looks like she left her rumored beau Birdman behind for this event.
Performers Erykah Badu and Maxwell hit the carpet to strike a few poses.
Talk show host Sheryl Underwood rocked an all blue dress representing her sorority Zeta Phi Beta.
Gospel singer Yolanda Adams got stylish in a black jumpsuit and black caged sandals.
Actress Bern Nadette Stanis, best known as Thelma on “Good Times,” was in the mix.
Singer Lalah Hathaway and TV personality Ed Gordon were all smiles before hitting the stage to present.
Backstage, attorney Benjamin Crump, actor/comedian Lavell Crawford and comedian Earthquake snapped it up. We can only imagine the funny conversation that ensued afterwards.
